Edge Scraper tool is designed to prepare flat edges of acrylic plexiglass and other plactic sheets for polishing or joining by removing saw blade marks from the edge. It can also bevel thick and thin plastics.
Make sure the material is held firmly in place by securing it in a vise so edge is kept square. To keep from damaging material while in vise, use wood blocks or something suitable. Grasp scraper with both hands and tilt top of scraper slightly toward you os that it dowsn't chatter when scraping. Draw blade toward you, using a smooth, steady motion and continuing all the way to the end of the material. Make additional passes utnil deired smoothness is achieved.
Follow directions for using straight edge, flipping blade over to use appropriate notch for either beveling thin material (up to 1/8") or thick material (up to 3/8"), or creating a rounded edge up to 1/4". Continue smooth, steady passes over edge until desired effect is achieved.
Always wear safety glasses or goggles. Do not wear loose-fitting clothing. Work in well-ventilated area and wear a mask when working with acrylic plexiglass or other plastics.
